My Path to Ancestral Roots.
I’ve always been drawn to the in-between — the sacred space where endings become beginnings.
From years as a birth and death doula to my work as a Reiki Master and herbalist, I’ve witnessed how people bloom when they feel seen, supported, and spiritually aligned.

Ancestral Roots grew from that knowing: that healing isn’t just physical or emotional — it’s ancestral, energetic, and deeply human.

Who Am I?

Hi! I’m Lolonyo—most folks just call me Lo—and I’m the heart behind Ancestral Roots Herbal Remedies. I’m a Holistic Practitioner, deepening my commitment every day to holding space for connection, healing, and joy in every form.

Ancestral Roots was born from a lifelong passion for natural wellness and a deep reverence for ancestral knowledge. What started with herbal remedies in my kitchen has grown into a full-spectrum healing practice offering so much more.

As a single mom, cat mama, and proud DMV native-daughter, I bring lived experience, heart, and humor to every aspect of my work. My mission is to support all people—especially Black and Brown folks, LGBTQIA+ communities, and those too often left out of traditional care—with dignity, compassion, and radical presence.
